  60. 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

  63.         on flat, level surface, supported to prevent sagging;
  64.         maintain dry, heated storage area until products are
  65.         used.

  93.         1.  Acceptable Product:  Medex.
  94.         2.  Physical Characteristics:  Wood-based panel product,
  95.             manufactured from softwood fibers, minimum 90% of
  96.             which obtained from wood residuals, bonded under heat
  97.             and pressure with formaldehyde-free synthetic resin
  98.             binders, meeting requirements of ANSI A208.2 Product
  99.             Class MD-EXTERIOR, and having the following
  100.             properties for sheet material thicknesses up to, and
  101.             including, 3/4 inch:
  102.             a.  Density:  Minimum 46 pounds per cubic foot.
  103.             b.  Internal Bond Strength:  Minimum 130 pounds per
  104.                 square inch.
  105.             c.  Modulus of Rupture:  Minimum 5,600 pounds per
  106.                 square inch.
  107.             d.  Modulus of Elasticity:  Minimum 575,000 pounds
  108.                 per square inch.
  109.             e.  Hardness:  Minimum 1000 pounds, Janka modified.
  110.             f.  Screw-Holding Capacity:  Pounds of force required
  111.                 to pull 1 inch long No. 10 sheet metal screw from
  112.                 material:
  113.                 1)  Face:  Minimum 325 pounds.
  114.                 2)  Edge:  Minimum 275 pounds.
  115.             g.  Moisture Content:  Maximum 6 percent.
  116.             h.  Panel Thickness Tolerance:  0.005 inch, plus or

  155.             sheet material thicknesses up to, and including, 3/4
  156.             inch:
  157.             a.  Density:  Minimum 45 pounds per cubic foot.
  158.             b.  Internal Bond Strength:  Minimum 100 pounds per
  159.                 square inch.
  160.             c.  Modulus of Rupture:  Minimum 3,500 pounds per
  161.                 square inch.
  162.             d.  Modulus of Elasticity:  Minimum 375,000 pounds
  163.                 per square inch.
  164.             e.  Hardness:  Minimum 1000 pounds, Janka modified.
  165.             f.  Screw-Holding Capacity:  Pounds of force required
  166.                 to pull 1 inch long No. 10 sheet metal screw from
  167.                 material:
  168.                 1)  Face:  Minimum 300 pounds.
  169.                 2)  Edge:  Minimum 225 pounds.
  170.             g.  Moisture Content:  Maximum 6 percent.
  171.             h.  Panel Thickness Tolerance:  0.005 inch, plus or
  172.                 minus.
  173.             i.  Fire Resistance:  Class 1 surface flame spread
  174.                 when tested in accordance with UL 723.
